Clear guidelines on bicycle and wheelset commission rates, pickup logistics, hold deposits, and early termination.

1. Transparent Progressive Commission

We only get paid when your item sells. Our incentives are 100% aligned with yours—the higher the final sale price, the more we both earn. That means we are directly motivated to market, position, and sell your gear for top dollar.

Portion Over $10,000 CAD	10%	Tiered	10% applied strictly to any remaining amount exceeding $10,000.

Wheelset Logistics & Transport Rules

Seller Drop-Off or GTA Meetup: FREE (Drop off at our Toronto partner space or an agreed central location).
Complimentary Doorstep Pickup: FREE for wheelsets listed at $2,000 CAD or above, or when consigned alongside a complete bicycle.
Under $2,000 CAD Doorstep Pickup: A flat $100 CAD logistics fee applies if doorstep concierge pickup is requested for standalone wheelsets under $2,000 CAD.

2. The 20% Hold & Fit Guarantee Policy

Buyers reserve listings exclusively by submitting a 20% hold deposit via Interac e-Transfer. This deposit places an immediate hold on the listing and schedules a 1-on-1 fitting session at our Toronto partner studio.

The Fit Guarantee Rule

If the 1-on-1 studio fitting reveals that the frame geometry or size cannot safely or comfortably fit the buyer, 100% of the deposit is converted into a store credit applicable toward any active listing or incoming wishlist match. Deposits are non-refundable for change-of-mind cancellations where proper fit is established.

3. Consignment Terms, Dynamic Pricing & Early Termination

Standard consignment agreements run for 60 to 90 days. All initial list prices and target payouts are mutually agreed upon prior to intake.

Dynamic Pricing & Active Market Reviews

To maintain momentum and ensure your gear sells within the consignment window, listings receive scheduled market evaluations based on local GTA buyer inquiries and market demand:

First Review (Day 14): Initial evaluation of views, inquiries, and saved listing metrics.
Weekly Cadence (Every 7 Days Thereafter): Continuous reviews every 7 days to adjust positioning as required.
Agreed Adjustments: Any price optimizations are mutually agreed upon to align with active market data and drive serious buyer conversion.

Service Scope & Early Termination Fees

Our servicing, multi-point safety inspections, drivetrain detailing, fresh bar tape installation (for bikes), truing/bearing checks (for wheels), studio media shoot, and marketing are 100% free when your item sells through Ciclovelo (fully covered by our standard commission).

However, if a seller chooses to terminate the consignment agreement prior to the 60-day mark, or refuses reasonable market price adjustments resulting in an unsold return, an Early Termination Fee applies prior to release or return delivery:

Complete Bicycles: Flat $300 CAD Servicing & Transport Fee (covers physical detailing, fresh components, labor, and GTA doorstep pickup/return).
Wheelsets: Flat $100 CAD Servicing & Handling Fee (covers spoke tension check, lateral/radial truing, freehub/bearing service, deep wash, studio photography, and labor).

Fast Payout Timelines

Upon buyer hand-off and final acceptance following their studio fitting session, seller payouts are executed via Interac e-Transfer or direct bank wire within 48 to 72 hours.
