How It Works

The full Ciclovelo process — from submission to payout, and the rules that keep everyone protected.

1

Submit Build Details

Fill out our intake form with your bike's make, model, groupset, condition, and desired price. We review every submission and respond within 48 hours.

  • Honest condition disclosure required
  • Photos of any damage or wear appreciated
  • Minimum retail value typically $3,000+
2

White-Glove Local Pickup

Once accepted, we schedule a convenient pickup from your location within our service corridor (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal).

  • Pickup at no cost to seller
  • Bike must be ride-ready for transport
  • Remove personal items before pickup
3

Inspection & Pro Shoot

Your bike enters our lab for a full structural inspection, deep clean, and professional listing photography. Any issues found are documented and disclosed to buyers.

  • Multi-point carbon and frame inspection
  • Deep clean and fresh bar tape setup
  • All findings disclosed in listing
4

Managed Sale & Payout

We list your bike, handle buyer inquiries, coordinate test rides, and process payment through managed escrow. You receive payout once the sale is complete.

  • Consignment fee applied at sale
  • Escrow protects both parties
  • Payout within 5 business days of sale

Policies & Rules

Pricing

Sellers set the listing price with our guidance. We do not accept bikes priced more than 15% above fair market value.

Test Rides

Test rides are coordinated by Ciclovelo with a hold on file. Bikes are not released for unsupervised test rides.

Returns

Buyers have 48 hours after delivery to report undisclosed defects. Structural issues missed in inspection are covered by our guarantee.

Consignment Term

Standard consignment period is 90 days. Unsold bikes are returned at no additional cost.
